SCA-TV’s Anthem Alive Sun City Anthem has its own TV station on Cox Cable and Anthem Alive is a weekly community magazine show hosted by residents and special guests reviewing shows, news, and stories of interest from the area. Spirit Magazine and the Relay Spirit Magazine is a monthly magazine mailed to residents of SCA which contains information about our BOD and committees, service groups, and clubs, along with local business advertisements so residents can stay informed. Weekly eBlast Every Monday, subscribed residents can receive an email with all the news, meeting announcements, shows, special events, and more. FITNESS If you’re looking to get or stay in shape, you’ve come to the right place. With locations in all three clubhouses, a certified personal training staff, certified instructors leading multiple group exercise classes, weight and cardio equipment, and much more, we’ll have you like the new you in no time! Fitness Amenities NEW! SCA Registered Dietitian, Nutritionist Dillon Martin, brings his nutrition expertise to Sun City Anthem. NEW! SCA Tennis Pro, Harry Busby, offers private and group lessons, clinics, and more. Anthem Wellness: Massage Therapy at Anthem Fitness Anthem Wellness has reopened with limited availability. Indoor And Outdoor Pools: How about a dip in the pool? Exercising in the water is not only safe but extremely effective. Swim laps, or join us for one of the many Aquacize classes held in the Anthem Center indoor pool. The Liberty Center indoor pool features warm water aerobics. Both the Anthem and Liberty Centers feature outdoor pools also. Indoor & Outdoor Spas: indoor and outdoor spas are open. Indoor Walking Track: Head upstairs at our Anthem Center location for a walk around the track. The indoor track is approximately 125 yards long (14 laps are one mile), overlooking the pool. It also has a great view of the golf course and downtown Las Vegas. ACTIVITIES Be sure to check out the nice mix of both in-person and virtual events we have going on. Each month, experts from a wide variety of fields cover various topics. You must register in advance for these seminars via your eBlast, website registration, calling Activities, or stopping by the Activities office. Seminars include: Friday Forum – one Friday each month, beginning at 9 a.m., SCA presents a seminar on various topics. Diverse topics range from health and wellness to radon testing, scams, technology, and much more. “got health?” Beginning in 2022, every third Tuesday of each month at 11 a.m. Enjoy presentations on various subjects from local experts. Freedom Hall Did you know we have an actual performance theater at SCA? We host top-notch performers, many straight from the Las Vegas Strip, to give you amazing stage shows in the theater. No need to drive in traffic, pay parking fees, or have distances to walk! Bus Trips: Take to the highway and go to nearby parks, shows, and museums, both on and off the Strip, as well as overnight trips to exciting places in California, Arizona, and more. Fairs & Expos: It’s one-stop shopping, whether it’s the biannual Home Expo or Arts & Crafts Fair, featuring local and regional contractors and artisans, or the Parking Lot Yard Sale, where you can sell your unwanted household goods or have a fun day purchasing new treasures. Don’t miss the Club Fair, where you can peruse our club offerings all at once, and the annual Health Fair, for your continued wellness. Movies & Outdoor Concerts (TGIF): In the spring and fall, we hold outdoor movies and our TGIF (“Thank Goodness it’s Friday”) concerts at Anthem Center’s outdoor Amphitheatre, on the hill overlooking the Las Vegas Strip. It’s a perfect spot to watch the sunset and take in a show! Movies and concerts are free and residents are encouraged to bring blankets, chairs, and picnic items.
