ABOUT THE DEVELOPER -FOCUS PROPERTY GROUP
Providence, which has consistently ranked in the nation’s top selling master planned communities, as well as being ranked one of the top selling master plans in Nevada, was created and continues to be developed by Focus Property Group, a Las Vegas company with decades of Las Vegas real estate experience and extensive Southern Nevada roots.
Focus Property Group is guided by a unique vision that includes a role for the land where its master plans are created. The company believes it has a responsibility to plan for and protect the desert’s limited natural resources. It has researched and provided both residents and builders at Providence with an extensive palette of desert flora that result in lush, appealing landscapes without wasting water. This, combined with the company’s continuous evaluation of eco-friendly technological innovations and design techniques, enables Focus to shape sustainable communities that will continue to thrive for generations to come.
At the heart of the Focus mission there has always been a clear directive: create new communities with a sense of depth and character engrained in the design. As you stroll the streets and neighborhoods of Providence, you’ll see Focus’ vision brought to life all around you. From the selection of over 4,000 trees that line the community’s neighborhoods and adorn its parks, to the designs of the paseos and gathering places, even the signs and monuments — every detail has been conceived to create an emphatic American tradition.
Beyond the physical design aesthetics of Providence, Focus also strives to ensure that their philosophy serves as a pillar of the Providence lifestyle. From choosing a master homeowners association that is dedicated to creating a true sense of community for its residents, to supporting local businesses and non-profit organizations, Focus and its partners endeavor to introduce a way of life that is not only reminiscent of past traditions, but one that will carry you and your family into the future.
THE THREE PARKS
Knickerbocker Park
The newly opened Knickerbocker Park is a $2.2 million, 15-acre park that includes play areas for 2 to 5-year-olds and 5 to 12-year-olds. Features of the park include a swing set, splash pad, youth baseball field, multi-use events field, jogging path with exercise stations and picnic areas. Being a pet-friendly community, Providence’s Knickerbocker Park also features a dog park right in the neighborhood with both small and large dog areas – a welcome amenity that’s hard to find close to home in many other Las Vegas neighborhoods.
Located at 10695 Dorrell Lane, the park’s design also offers great views of the entire Las Vegas Valley. Knickerbocker Park was named in honor of literary great Washington Irving, whose “Knickerbocker Tales,” a collection of stories from 19th century upstate New York include “Rip Van Winkle,” “The Headless Horseman” and others. This theme further reinforces Providence’s dedication to the literary arts and more importantly, the promotion of reading and the cultivating of a lifelong love for learning.
The Promenade
& Community Trails
On their walk home from school, kids stop to play in the park. On a lazy afternoon, the family goes for a leisurely bike ride. Or, after a run along the trail, a jogger stops to stretch and take in the cool breeze. These activities are common to The Promenade, which as a centerpiece of Providence, spans blocks and joins the community together.
From the main hub that is The Promenade, residents will also find multiple trails throughout the community. Whether it’s walking to school or a morning jaunt with the dogs at your side, the intertwining trails that meander their way throughout Providence will provide you with beautiful scenery and safe, convenient access to our neighborhoods and nearby parks.
Huckleberry Park
Now open, Huckleberry Park is Providence’s third park. Drawing inspiration for its name from the classic Mark Twain character “Huckleberry Finn,” everything about this recreation destination has been designed to embrace the community’s overall vision and small town Americana ambiance. A special grand opening ceremony, including a dedication to fallen police officer and Providence resident Igor Soldo, will be held in conjunction with the annual Sunny 106.5 Ice Cream Sunday at 10 a.m. on Sunday, September 27 with event festivities, including free ice cream and an array of family-friendly activities, until 2 p.m.
Huckleberry Park features many outdoor, lifestyle, fitness and recreational amenities to enhance and enrich the quality of life of Providence residents with large and small dog parks, a multi-use events field, full court basketball, outdoor stage area, swings, picnic area, shade ramada and other spaces designated for future amenities. This neighborhood park is an ideal spot for residents of all ages to gather together and provides another great Providence venue for hosting resident and community events.
Huckleberry Park is located at 10325 Farm road, LV NV 89166(southwest corner of Farm Road and Egan Crest Way).
SCHOOLS
Schools
The developers of Providence know how important schools are in the decision process when choosing a new Las Vegas home. After all, having a strong family and community focus means providing our youth with the tools they need to succeed.
A few blocks from our community entrance residents will find Centennial High School and Edmundo Escobedo Middle School, and a short drive away, Arbor View High School. The Providence community itself is home to one of Las Vegas’ newest schools, Bozarth Elementary. In addition to these existing schools, our community master plan also proposes a middle school and a second elementary school.
